ABOUT THE INSTITUTE
MID-LEVEL PROFESSIONALS
INSTITUTE
Mid-level administrators represent the largest professional population within student affairs and serve in some of the most critical leadership roles across organizations within higher education. Positioned between senior leadership and frontline staff, they are responsible for leading teams, advancing strategic priorities, managing complex organizational dynamics, and supporting student success, all while navigating their own professional growth and career aspirations.
The Mid-Level Advantage: Building Connections, Impact, and Career Success is designed to meet mid-level student affairs professionals where they are in their career journey by offering tailored learning experiences focused on leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and career sustainability. Through career-pathway-focused breakout sessions, executive leader insights, coaching opportunities, facilitated peer discussions, and practical leadership development labs, participants will gain strategies and resources that enhance their ability to lead effectively, strengthen their impact within their institutions, and build meaningful professional connections.
Whether attendees are preparing for career advancement, seeking to maximize their effectiveness in their current role, strengthening their supervisory and team leadership skills, or exploring strategies for long-term career success, this institute will provide actionable tools, individualized guidance, and opportunities for reflection and connection. Participants will leave with a personalized development action plan, an expanded professional network, practical resources, and increased confidence to navigate the opportunities and challenges of mid-level leadership in student affairs.
