ABOUT THE INSTITUTE
COMMUNITY COLLEGES INSTITUTE
Community colleges are increasingly the front door to higher education, serving students with diverse goals, experiences, and pathways.
At the same time, institutions are navigating shifting enrollment, workforce demands, resource constraints, changing policies, and evolving student needs. The 2027 Institute explores how community colleges can adapt with purpose while remaining grounded in access, equity, and student success.
Through three interconnected focus areas, participants will examine how institutions can strengthen cross-divisional collaboration, use data and technology effectively, respond to changing policy and student needs, and align institutional operations with mission. The Institute challenges leaders across the institution to move beyond silos and build more responsive, sustainable, and student-centered community colleges.
